The first 10 years of my career was spent as a researcher finding ways to communicate science to the public at the Ontario Science Centre. Following that, I went on to work with doctors and nurses as a Senior Advisor for Wellness at University Health Network which included Princess Margaret and Toronto Western Hospital and then developed the first employee mindfulness and wellness centre for St. Joseph Hamilton Healthcare. I then went on to develop mindfulness based training programs for enterprise companies and then the Senior Vice President of Employee Wellness at Origin Active Living. I developed multiple yoga & meditation training programs for The Clarity Centre and Sheridan College, including a specialized program called the Senior Yoga Lab for Older Adults. All of my programs involve the integration of evidence based science (neurogenesis, neuroplasticity) and the ancient wisdom about the body and mind. In the last 10 years the science of how the mind, the body and the brain work together has shifted dramatically, supported by thousands of studies about empowered living, and active ageing through lifestyle and awareness. I also consult and work with a team of researchers and practitioners to bring the most relevant interactive programs to forefront of my programs and lectures.

“Neuroplasticity refers to the lifelong capacity of the brain to change and rewire itself in response to the stimulation of learning and experience. Neurogenesis is the ability to create new neurons and connections between neurons throughout a lifetime. … Brain plasticity is also crucial following head injury.”
